New Year's Eve - 2009

The plan for tonight is as follows: our neighbors, the Browns will come over with their new baby girl, Avery; Debi's close friend, Wendy is with us for a few days; and of course, Madison and Morgan. Sophia is with her mother's parents for hot chocolate, popcorn and a movie...that sounds so perfect for a 6-year old (that sounds perfect for an adult, too!).

We decided that having a sit-down meal was a bit much to expect with babies in the house so we are having an appetizer spread of different things such as pigs-in-a-blanket, chips and salsa; cheese and crackers; hummus; and some other stuff. There will also be wine, champagne and assorted drinks.

Ok, the champagne didn't flow, but he wine and assorted drinks did. The apps were delish; however I would advise against the box o'frozen puff pastries from BJ's as the description on the box was not necessarily what one consumed. Still, it was a good time.

After apps we played Dominoes and then watched the ball drop. That was the first time in a long time that i stayed up past midnight on New Year's eve.
